How Engage Takes You Beyond the Keynote Speech

A great keynote speech can do a lot: build credibility, motivate your audience, and provide a new perspective on a topic. It can leave a lasting impact. Even though a keynote speech is great, sometimes you want to involve your audience in ways that go beyond the context of the traditional speech.

Luckily, Engage’s intuitive platform offers customized experiences and popup events that can help you reach your goals. From the very beginning, Engage has worked to help clients go beyond speeches and foster meaningful relationships with talent. From cooking with a celebrity chef to playing video games with a world-class athlete, Engage’s platform offers clients the ability to request customized once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

To illustrate what Engage can do for your next event, below are 5 of our most successful experiences and popups:

1. Golf with Jake

In this amazing event, participants can play nine or eighteen holes at a course of their choice with Jake Olson, who is the first completely blind football player to ever play in a Division I game. Despite battling cancer eight times and becoming completely blind at age twelve, Jake played as a snapper at the University of Southern California and is a successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker. While Jake is a master at connecting with his audiences, “Golf with Jake” is an interactive opportunity to hear Jake’s amazing story while practicing your swing.

2. Legends on the Links

In the “Legends on the Links” sweepstakes event, entrants had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes involving legendary hockey players Mike Modano, Jeremy Roenick, TJ Oshie, and Joe Pavelski. The second and third place winners won a Jeremy Roenick signed jersey and Travis Mathew Golf Bag. The grand prize was to join the four hockey greats for a weekend in Lake Tahoe, California at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. The grand prize winner enjoyed a private dinner with Modano, Roenick, Oshie, and Pavelski and got to caddy for one of the U.S. Olympians during the practice round prior to the tournament. To top it all off, the winner also got two tickets to the Blake Shelton concert on Friday night and received a signed jersey by each of the  U.S. Hockey Olympians. For any true sports fan, this sweepstakes event offered winners the amazing opportunity to spend time with world-class hockey players in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

3. Charged Up

For the ultimate gaming and sports fans, Engage hosted “Charged Up” in December 2019. Attendees joined Los Angeles Chargers players Denzel Perryman and Uchenna Nwosu for a night of food, video games, and fun as they squared off against the NFL greats in Madden, Call of Duty, and Fortnite. Rather than just hearing Uchenna or Denzel speak, fans had the unique opportunity to interact with the talent while playing their favorite video games. This event demonstrates how Engage’s intuitive platform helps foster meaningful relationships between talent and fans.

4. Flock with T.O.

In partnership with Bird scooters, Engage hosted “Flock with T.O.,” a sweepstakes popup in which winners rode around Los Angeles on Bird scooters with legendary NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens. As the Flock made its way through the City of Angels, they met at the Joe & The Juice in Brentwood and stopped at a few Los Angeles landmarks before finishing their ride at the Bird Headquarters in Santa Monica. The event also included an exclusive Q&A session in which participants got to ask questions, take pictures, and get autographs. As most NFL fans would love to get to know their favorite players off the field, this event gave winners the chance to ask their burning questions to one of the greatest players in the NFL while exploring LA.

5. Flock with T.O. and Chad in Miami

The first “Flock with T.O.” event was so successful that we did it again in Miami! On February 2, 2019, the day before the Super Bowl, the lucky winners had the opportunity to tour around Miami on Bird scooters with some of the best athletes to ever play in the NFL. In addition to Terrell Owens and Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson, fellow NFL players Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jessie Bates also joined in on the Flock. This event allowed participants to get to know four NFL players on a personal level while experiencing the infectious energy in Miami before the Super Bowl. Winners also received Adidas merchandise and Bird ride credits after the event.
