Shortly after her graduation from Yale Law School, Bloom went to work on a few very high profile cases. She went after the Boy Scouts of America for sex discriminatiuon, filed a child sexual abuse suit against the Roman Catholic Church, and sued the LAPD. She serves as a legal analyst for many different networks, including CBS News, CNN and MSNBC. 3. Jami Marseilles

Jami Marseilles is a mother, elementary school teacher, author, multiple gold medal winner, world record holder, motivational speaker, and double amputee. While driving home from a ski trip, Marseilles and a friend found themselves deserted on an Arizona logging road in a snow storm. The pair were stranded in their buried vehicle for an entire week until they were found by two recreational snow-mobilers, and the gangrene in Marseilles’ legs caused her to lose both of her legs below her knee. However, Marseilles made lemonade from the lemons she had been given, and decided to take up running. Her new passion turned to international competitive success, and now Marseilles is the only double below the knee amputee to ever successfully complete a half and full marathon. Not only are her athletic accomplishments legendary, but her spirit and incredible story of survival are something for the history books.

2. Joy Taylor

Joy Taylor is a sports talk radio personality and the current co-host of The Herd with Colin Cowherd. Kicking down the doors to the boy’s club that is sports talk radio, Taylor has made her mark and become a staple for many listeners. Prior to her time on The Herd, Taylor was the host of UNDISPUTED on FS1, “Thursday Night Live,” on CBS, and “Fantasy Football Today," also on CBS. Taylor comes from an impressive football family, with her big brother Jason Taylor in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, football is not Taylor’s only area of expertise, and she has covered some of the biggest events across a variety of sports, including the NBA Finals, MLB All-Star Weekend, the U.S. Open, and big-time UFC fights. Taylor is a strong woman who did not take no for an answer when it came to her career dreams, and she is sure to motivate all of the women in attendance at your event to do the same.

1. Chong Kim

Chong Kim is a Korean-American author, activist and speaker who has over 100 prestigious speaking engagements under her belt. Her passion for activism and civil rights began when she was a young child who had to deal with unspeakable horrors. After migrating to the United States, she was put into the foster care system and ultimately came to have a relationship with a man who sold her into human trafficking. After years of trauma, Kim was able to escape, but that is when her battle with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and Borderline Personality Dissociation began. Despite all of these struggles, Kim found the strength to tell her story and to continue to spread awareness, even when people did not believe her at first. Kim is a strong advocate for victims of human trafficking and child sex exploitation, and she has devoted her life to raising up victims and doing all she can to ensure more children do not find themselves in the horrors she had to endure. Kim will inspire your audience and if you book her as your next keynote speaker, there will not be a dry eye in the house.

Should I book a speaker for my event?

In today’s age, our attention span is dwindling. A technological era in which we can get rushes of dopamine to our brain in a couple seconds by scrolling on a variety of social media platforms has created an atmosphere where we quickly become uninterested by something if we are not immediately curious to hear more. In an event, this means being able to grab your audience’s attention immediately and pull them in, wanting to hear more. This is where hiring a speaker for an event comes into play. The speakers that are on Engage’s website are some of the most high-class, interesting stories you will ever hear. Engage has the stories and speakers that will hold your audience captive with interest.
