As a company founded by a few sports-obsessed college students, we are always thrilled to meet with other like-minded individuals to discuss the inner workings of sports business and the many facets of athletes as vehicles for social justice. We are thrilled to have been featured on both the Front Office Features podcast and the Sports Agent Blog this past week.
The Front Office Features podcast hosts a show each week to take you behind the scenes and show the inner-workings of sports business and provide insights to help jump start a career in sports. In "The Quintessential Effort and Attitude" episode, Engage's President, CEO, and COO met with the podcast's host to discuss the 2 main things that you can control: effort and attitude. In the episode, our President Jake Olsen discusses overcoming his loss of eyesight to eventually play football for the USC Trojans. This podcast is "a must listen for numerous reasons but mostly for anyone feeling the effects of being stuck and using this as motivation to find your path." Click here to listen on Apple Podcasts!
In the "Interview with Engage: Athlete Sweepstakes for Social Justice" article for the Sports Agent Blog, our CEO and COO discuss the Martin Luther King III Drum Major Institute Sweepstakes and how sports can be used as a vehicle for social justice. They discuss how sports have increasingly been used as a platform for social activism and how Engage is taking part in the action towards social change.
This sweepstakes event is a collaboration between Engage and the Drum Major Institute, an organization founded in 1961 by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated to creating commonsense solutions to drive social progress for all American citizens. Athletes have launched their coordinating sweepstakes on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and the sweepstakes will lead up to the anniversary of the Reverend’s assassination on April 4th. The culmination will be a discussion with MLK III and a number of athletes on that date. To read the full article, visit the Sports Agent Blog website.
