Jake Olson Talks NIL and Engage on ESPN

Los Angeles, CA - July 1st, 2021 - ESPN had Jake Olson on the Keyshawn, JWill, and Zubin last week to discuss several topics. Olson joins ESPN to talk about Engage and the opportunities that the platform presents for college athletes following the new NIL laws.

On the show, the parties talk about Engage and the benefits of the platform when it comes to NIL. The platform gives the opportunity for student-athletes to get speaking requests, pop-up events, or create sweepstakes to raise money for charity. Further, Olson mentions how Engage is going to provide structure since there is none currently.

On the show, Jake mentions, “There is going to be a lot of chaos when this does open up if there isn’t a structure, if there isn’t a legitimate way all of this is being taken care of, someone is going to get hurt.”

Olson leaves with providing a positive word for student-athletes by giving them the advice to be careful with their endeavors.

In June, the Supreme Court had a 9-0 ruling in favor of student-athletes being able to use their own name, image, and likeness to be compensated for off-the-field endeavors.
