Engage, a Los Angeles based startup democratizing the talent booking industry, announced David Meltzer as a new strategic advisor to the company.
David Meltzer is a Speaker, Best-Selling Author, Award-Winning Humanitarian, and CEO of Sports 1 Marketing. He is the host of The Playbook Podcast, a top business podcast focused on the journeys and careers of successful athletes, entrepreneurs, and executives.
Engage was co-founded by USC blind long-snapper Jake Olson and his roommate turned manager Daniel Hennes to help modernize a process that was antiquated. The old process of booking talent included paper contracts, faxes, mailing checks for payments, and various other outdated methodologies.
"I'm really excited to be joining the Engage team as a strategic advisor. The talent booking industry is desperately in need of disruption, and I believe Engage is the platform that will do it,” said Meltzer, “I'm looking forward to using my expertise and network to help the company reach its full potential."
“David brings an exciting track record of success, and a vast network to Engage to help the company continue to grow,” said Engage’s CEO Daniel Hennes. “From the moment I first met him, I knew our partnership with David was going to be big, and have no doubt he will help bring Engage to the next level,” added Jake Olson, Engage’s President.
Engage, which beta launched in October 2018, already has a talent roster of over 150 individuals including Jeremy Roenick, Ryan Harris, Brent Gleeson, DeSean Jackson, Aubrey Huff, Mark Dacascos, Adrian Peterson, and other highly talented individuals available for bookings.
