The Atlanta, GA, native was a standout at Riverwood High School where he was the Region 6A pitcher of the year and considered a top 100 high school prospect, nationally. Thomas brings with him to South Carolina a power arsenal featuring a mid 90s fastball and nasty off-speed stuff. Brett averages better than a strikeout per inning and, coming at hitters from a powerhouse 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame, is a very hard to handle.
