Born and raised in Belize City Belize. Chanel Lumiere migrated to Los Angeles California at the age of 12 after several vacation visits. Chanel has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development and has worked in the Early Education Field serving Children and families for over 17 years. Chanel currently serves as a education coach, mentor, teacher, healer and organizer. Chanel has served a number of organizations advocating for LGBTQIA communities. Currently serving as UWC board member and FLUX National Secretary both organization are specific to meeting the needs of transgender and non-binary individuals.

Are there any moments that stand out as having a significant impact on your career? Teaching individuals about Social Emotional Learning
Outside of your profession do you have any hobbies/interests? Makeup/ Event planning/ cooking Vegan meals
Who do you look up to as a mentor and why? Community leaders. It’s a thank less job however they show up despite circumstances
