Shawn Marion is a former NBA All-Star and an NBA Champion. Shawn played his college basketball at UNLV and was drafted in the 1st round of the 1999 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. Shawn spent the bulk of his 16 year NBA career with the Suns where he was a 4x All-Star and developed an incredible partnership with Amar'e Stoudemire and Steve Nash. In 2008, Shawn was traded to the Miami Heat and spent the 2008-2009 season split between the Heat and the Toronto Raptors. Following the 2008/09 season, Marion signed with the Dallas Mavericks where he won his single NBA Championship in 2011 defeating the LeBron James lead Miami Heat. Marion played his final season in 2014/15 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In February 2018, Marion and fellow former NBA player Matt Walsh became majority shareholders of the New Zealand Breaker competing in New Zealand's National Basketball League. Shawn was nicknamed THE MATRIX by TNT analyst Kenny Smith during the pre-season of his rookie year for his seemingly bionic athleticism.
