Brittney Sykes is a guard currently playing for the Washington Mystics. A Newark, NJ native, Sykes attended Syracuse University, where she ranked third in school history in points scored with 1,846 points, and also holds the distinction of the winningest Syracuse Orange women's basketball player with a total of 101 wins. In the 2017 WNBA Draft, Sykes was drafted seventh overall by the Atlanta Dream, before playing for the Sparks in 2020. Her defensive prowess helped her lead the entire WNBA in total steals (32) and steals per game (1.8), while also being a member of the 2021 WNBA All-Defensive First Team.
