Dave Edwards is a professional football player and offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. The trajectory of Edwards’ career and his road to the Rams is simply remarkable. A running quarterback at Downers Grove High School, Edwards was recruited out of the Chicago suburbs by the University of Wisconsin to play tight end. It was only at Wisconsin that Edwards began to eat breakfast and lift weights, bulking up and transitioning to right tackle for his sophomore season when he would earn second-team All-Big Ten and first-team AFCA All-American recognition. Edwards decided to stay with the Badgers for one more year, influenced by the advice of Wisconsin alum and legendary Cleveland Browns tackle Joe Thomas. After his junior season, Edwards declared for the 2019 NFL Draft and he was selected in the 5th round by the Los Angeles Rams. In two seasons as a pro, Edwards has started 24 games as a lineman for the Rams.
