If it seems like David Jean-Baptiste has been a fixture on the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga basketball team forever, it's because he has. The 6-1 guard enters the 2021-22 season in his fifth year on the team ranking 13th all-time at Chattanooga with 1,279 points, 3rd all-time with 198 3pt made, 15th all-time with 263 assists, and 12th all-time with 113 steals. He is a key leader and player for UTC and is an important figure in the school community as well, as evidenced by his receipt of the Blue Award from the Chancellor’s Office for campus leadership and service. DJB is from Miami, FL and prepped at Norland High, however he is very proud of his Haitian heritage, and credits it for him and his family's resiliency.
David went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, and is now an unrestricted free agent.
