Jerome Smith is the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at St. Thomas University, entering his second season. Smith has been coaching collegiately for 11 seasons, beginning his career in 2010 at Indiana University. In addition to IU, Smith has coached at Marian University, Walsh University, Rhodes College, Carleton College and Valparaiso University. During his coaching career, Smith has been a part of an NAIA National Championship team and back-to-back Mid-States Football Association Conference Champion at Marian (2011-12). In his first season at St. Thomas, Smith coached Michael Torrence (First-Team) and Khalil Bryan (Second-Team) earned All-Mid-South honors. A native of Indianapolis, IN., Smith earned his B.S. from Purdue University ('09) and his Master's degree from Indiana University ('10).
