JJ Weaver is an outside linebacker for the University of Kentucky. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Weaver was ranked as a 4-star prospect in high school. As a redshirt freshman, he was named on the All-SEC Freshman Team, as he had 33 tackles in nine games. In 2021 as a sophomore, he was named as one of the three award winners for the 2021 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year, and he was also named on the Third-Team All-SEC. He has at least 1 tackle for a loss in 8 of the 12 games he played in 2021, and Nike also engineered a 6 finger glove for him to wear.
