Joe Lampe is a sparkplug for the Arizona State baseball team and the type of ballplayer that’s first to arrive and last to leave. In 2020 he spent a season dominating the Junior College scene at Santa Rosa College, where he hit .424 with eight triples, seven doubles, and 17 steals. He was the heart of a Santa Rosa team that finished the year ranked #1 among California junior colleges. His play there led to the Sun Devil squad bringing him aboard, where he is the starting centerfielder and a force on both sides of the ball. He made the Pac-12 All-Defensive team and was a Rawlings Gold Glove finalist after not posting a single error in conference play. This year he continues to play sterling defense and his offense has taken off, as he is showing very good power to go along with a high average and continues to be a force on the basepaths. Lampe is the type of all-around player that will excel in pro ball.
