Hi, I'm Katie Ferraro, I'm a Registered Dietitian and mom of 7 specializing in Baby-Led Weaning.
I run the largest digital community dedicated to baby-led weaning and I host the BABY-LED WEANING MADE EASY podcast, a top 15 podcast in Apple's Parenting podcast category.
In 2016 I created the 100 FIRST FOODS approach to starting solid foods with baby-led weaning. Through my workshops, podcast, courses and digital content I've helped tens of thousands of families give their babies a safe start to solid foods using the alternative to traditional spoon-feeding technique known as baby-led weaning.
Teaching families, daycare providers and healthcare practitioners how to do baby-led weaning SAFELY is my passion. I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nutrition at the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science and a Lecturer in the Exercise and Nutrition Science department at San Diego State University where I specialize in online nutrition curriculum development.
While my day job is being a dietitian specializing in infant feeding...my REAL job is at home, where my husband and I are parents to 7 kids age 7 and under: a singleton Molly, our 5-year old quadruplets Charlie, Claire, Henry and Dillon and 3-year old twins Gus and Hannah.
