Michael Bunting is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League. Bunting was selected by the Arizona Coyotes, 117th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs before he tested the free agent market on July 1, 2023 and was signed by the Carolina Hurricanes to a three-year, $13.5 million contract.

Bunting brings a unique blend of toughness and humor both on and off the ice. While he's known for his style of play in the rink, off the ice, Michael showcases a different side of his personality. Behind the tough exterior, he is surprisingly shy and possesses a great sense of humor that often catches his teammates off guard. One of his off-ice trademarks is his impeccable sock collection, which has earned him recognition on the Toronto Maple Leafs' Instagram page. His sock choices have helped brand hinself off the tice by showcasing his distinct style and personality.

Michael also faces a fair share of mockery when it comes to his golf game. This offseason, there's talk of enrolling him in golf lessons, not just to improve his game but also to create entertaining content around his golfing adventures. Additionally, he's hoping to make a positive impact off the ice by hosting a charity ping pong tournament during the summer. The event will support the Boys and Girls Club of West Scarborough, underlining Michael's commitment to giving back to his community. Lastly, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael adopted a puppy named Rudy, further revealing his several personalities.
