Nick Jackson MW is one of the USA's 52 Masters of Wine, generally considered the highest qualification in the wine world. Nick is an expert in the world's greatest wines, particularly those from Europe, with considerable experience hosting wine-tasting events and dinners.
Nick worked as a wine expert at Sotheby's Wine in London and New York from 2011 to 2018. In 2019, he established his own business, Vintage Variation LLC, which offers private client wine advisory services, wine events, and education.
Nick became a Master of Wine in February 2019. As of 2020, there are 409 Masters of Wine worldwide. In 2020 he published his first book, Beyond Flavour, a guide to wine tasting. Described by Wine Spectator as ‘quietly the best wine book to come out in recent memory’, it was positively reviewed in the Wall Street Journal, The Times (London) and many others. Developing the ideas in the book, Nick presented a series of wine education webinars, The School of Taste, during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. The School of Taste is now a fully-fledged wine webinar platform, offering a variety of live and pre-recorded wine webinar content.
Originally hailing from the UK, Nick lives in Florida, and outside of wine, enjoys sports and travel.
