Peggy Smedley is an internationally known speaker and highly respected influencer in the tech world educating businesses and consumers alike on the latest trends on digital transformation and circularity shaping everyday lives.

An outspoken advocate and supporter of sustainability and resiliency, Peggy is the quick-witted host of The Peggy Smedley Show, the editorial director of Connected World and its sister publication Constructech, as well as the president of Specialty Publishing Co.

Peggy has earned the reputation as an innovative and skilled content storyteller throughout her 25-year career and her passion is to do whatever she can to adhere to her motto, “with great technology, comes great responsibility.” She is a renowned author and an award-winning editor having earned numerous honors for editorial excellence.

She recently authored Sustainable in a Circular World, Design and Restore Natural Ecosystems Through Innovation, which affords her the greatest opportunity to help move the world from grey to green. She also authored Mending Manufacturing: How America Can Manufacture its Survival, a book detailing all aspects of the American manufacturing crisis and inspiring innovation and has had the honor of collaborating on eight books.

Peggy has been a guest on television business and news programs and has been a voice on many national commercially syndicated radio shows.

In 1997, Peggy formed Specialty Publishing Co. with the goal of enlightening executives in key industries to the importance of understanding technology for the betterment of their companies. Surpassing publishing norms, Peggy has guided her company in successfully launching very targeted and niche services while at the helm.

She has a long history of covering manufacturing and construction, infrastructure, security, and an even stronger passion to empower a younger workforce and women to join STEM, IoT, and digital innovation.

Prior to launching her own company, Smedley served as Group Publisher and Editorial Director of numerous publishing firms based in Chicago, Ill.
