Saar Friedman is the Co-Founder & Chief Creative Director of OPEN, a Tel-Aviv-based branding agency, where he leads the creative team and supervises all creative aspects. Saar studied graphic design and then launched OPEN, with his friend Eyal Katz. From the Tel-Aviv HQ, Saar has led more than 100 branding processes and for the last 20 years has crafted the brands of the most powerful international brands, market-leading companies like Elementor, the Bank Hapoalim, Team8, Kaltura, El Al Airlines, the country of Israel and many more.
The Improv Design methodology he developed has won him worldwide recognition for innovative projects like Mekudeshet, The Israel Philharmonic, TNX, and more. Improv Design integrates a new step/phase into the familiar design process that activates your left brain and helps access an endless stream of fresh ideas, feelings, thoughts, and insights to draw from. He has been awarded by CommArts Magazine, Davey Awards, Creativity Awards, Communicator Awards, and Lisbon Int. Advertising Festival.
In addition to his management position, he is a lecturer at both the Shankar College of Design and the Bezalel Academy of Arts as well as a guest speaker on effective brand strategy and Improv Design at several international design conferences including TYPO Berlin,. Nordic and OFFFTLV.
