Stephen Shapiro is the head of Accenture, an innovative consulting firm. He started his innovation work over 20 years ago.   • Are there any moments that stand out as having a significant impact on your career? In the early 1990s, I was working on a project that resulted in 10,000 people losing their job. This is when I shifted to innovation and creating jobs.
  • Outside of your profession do you have any hobbies/interests? I am an amateur magician.
  • Who do you look up to as a mentor and why? Dr Michael Hammer, the father of business process reengineering. He was the reason I become a professional speaker. I got to work with him and was inspired by the impact he made on the world.
