Xavier Rhodes, a basketball guard from Florida Southern College, made the decision to transfer to Northern Kentucky University for the 2022-23 season, where he joined their Men's Basketball program. Originally from Lee's Summit, Missouri, Rhodes spent three seasons at Florida Southern College, where he had an impressive final year. He averaged 14.5 points per game and led the team with 143 assists.
During his tenure at Florida Southern College, Rhodes started in 27 games, playing an average of 31.8 minutes per game. He maintained a solid shooting percentage of 51% and led the team in steals with 45. Over the course of his college career, Rhodes scored 731 points, recorded 288 assists, and tallied 97 steals.
Prior to his time at Florida Southern College, Rhodes played for one season at Northwest Missouri State, where he contributed to the team's success. They won the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship in 2018-19, finishing the season with a perfect 38-0 record. Rhodes played a supporting role, averaging 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds per game while recording 30 assists and only 13 turnovers.
In his senior season with the Northern Kentucky University Norse, Rhodes made a positive impact, helping the team secure their third-ever appearance in the NCAA Division I March Madness tournament. Throughout the season, he averaged 7.7 points per game and 3.6 assists. Although the team fell short of advancing to the second round, Rhodes has not given up on his dreams of becoming a professional basketball player. He declared for the 2023 NBA Draft, hoping to continue showcasing his talents at the next level.
