Engage Co-Founder Interviews on PAC-12

Jake Olson, President & Co-Founder of Engage and blind long snapper for the USC Trojans, was recently interviewed by Ashley Adamson of the PAC-12, which can be seen on pac12.com.

Adamson was curious about Olson’s festive summer and based most of their conversation around highlights from Olson’s few months away from USC.

The interviewer introduced the USC Long Snapper by commenting, “He [Jake] lost his vision to cancer at the age of 12, but he continues to stretch the limits of what we all think should be possible and it looks like he is having a pretty good time along the way.”

After a quick recap of Jake’s summer of events, including driving a NASCAR car at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Adamon asked Olson “has your life changed since snapping last fall?”

“Yeah, it definitely has changed,” Olson responded, “people who don’t even follow sports have heard my story and been inspired and that’s something I find really cool.”

After being asked by the interviewer, “Who inspires you?”, Olson announced that both former USC football coach and current Seattle Seahawks coach, Pete Carroll as well as his parents, especially his dad encouraging him in both golf and football.
