Brandon Copeland is an NFL linebacker, UPenn Professor, and Alumni of the Wharton School of Business, Entrepreneur, Investor, Motivational Speaker, Philanthropist, and Co-Founder of Beyond the Basics, Inc. 

 

After playing his collegiate football at the University of Pennsylvania, Copeland was added as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens in 2013. Following stints with Ravens, Titans, and Lions, Copeland signed with New York Jets in 2018 and played 2 seasons with the Jets. In March 2020, Copeland signed a 1 year deal with the New England Patriots. 

 

Beyond the gridiron, Brandon is a caring father, husband, believer in christ, entrepreneur, and professor. He and his wife Taylor run two Real Estate firms, of which one is focused on rental properties and the other is focused on flipping properties. Brandon is also a Professor of Financial Literacy at UPenn. What may seem like a “no brainer” topic is passed over in many curriculums. His course teaches a range of topics from budgeting and retirement investing, to buying a house versus the cost of renting. Brandon is also an active investor and manages his own portfolio and encourages everyone to take an active role in their personal financial health.

 

Finally, Brandon's Beyond The Basics Inc. has activations throughout the year focused on youth empowerment including but not limited to the Annual BTB Football Camp, The BTB Holiday Shopping Spree, The BTB Single Parent Thanksgiving Giveaway, Growth Through Golf, and our new 2020 Celebrity Basketball game
