Brian Haines is a seasoned football coach known for his expertise in special teams, offense, and player development. A native of Williamstown, West Virginia, and Marietta College alumnus, he spent 12 of 13 seasons at Ohio University (2010–2022), contributing to 91 victories, two MAC East titles, and nine bowl appearances while overseeing tight ends, special teams, and recruiting. In early 2020, Haines joined Appalachian State as running backs coach and special teams coordinator, where under his guidance the program produced national All-Americans and standout special teams units. In January 2025, he was tapped by Charlotte University to serve as Assistant Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and Running Backs Coach, bringing a strong track record of building effective units and developing NFL-level talent. He and his wife Mary are parents to daughters Blair and Quinn.
