Cedric Reed is a free agent defensive end in football. He was born in Cleveland, Texas and attended the University of Texas, where he played football. Coming out of high school, Reed was a highly touted, four-star recruit. He committed to the Longhorns as a defensive end, where he played in 46 games (starting in 32), racking up 37 tackles for loss, 18 sacks and six forced fumbles. He was a two-time All-Big 12 selection in 2013-14, and was on the watch lists for the Chuck Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy, Rotary Lombardi Award, Lott Trophy and Ted Hendricks Award.

Reed was signed by the Buffalo Bills in 2015 as an undrafted free agent following the NFL Draft. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2016, and later was picked up by the Los Angeles Wildcats in the 2020 XFL Draft, although the XFL suspended their operations in April of the same year. Reed’s cousin, Jonathan Marshall, plays in the NFL for the New York Jets.
