Chloe Kim is an American snowboarder known for her Olympic achievements. Born on April 23, 2000, in Long Beach, California, she began her snowboarding at the age of four and eventually joined the U.S. Snowboarding Team at the age of 13 in 2013. 

 

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, Chloe Kim made history by winning gold in the women's snowboard halfpipe at just 17 years old, making her the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding gold medal. At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, she defended her title and became the first female snowboarder to win back-to-back gold medals in the snowboard halfpipe event. In addition to her Olympic success, Kim has clinched numerous X Games gold medals and was the first woman to win two gold medals in snowboarding at the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

 

Chloe Kim has been awarded the Best Female Action Sports Athlete ESPY Award three consecutive times and received the Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the Year award twice. Outside of snowboarding, she has also made appearances on magazine covers, cereal boxes, and in video games.
