Demarcus Evans is a pitcher in the Texas Rangers organization. Evans went 6-0 in 2019 and pitched for the Down East Wood Ducks of the Carolinas League and the Frisco Roughriders of the Texas League. He finished the year with a combined 0.90 ERA in 60 innings pitched and was named Baseball America All-Star with the Roughriders and a Mid-Season All-Star with the Wood Ducks. Evans was the only pitcher in Minor League Baseball to strike out 100 batters in 60 innings or less in 2019 and allowed just 23 hits in 60 innings, holding opponents to a .119 average, which was the best in the Minors among pitchers with 60 or more innings. Evans was drafted out of Petal High School(Miss.) in 2015 and has appeared with five teams and has a record of 13-11 with 369 strikeouts and an ERA or 2.53.
