Dewayne Alexander is a seasoned football coach with over 35 years of experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. A former player at Tennessee Tech, he served as the head coach there from 2018 to 2023, leading the Golden Eagles to a notable 6–6 season in 2019, which marked one of the best turnarounds in FCS football that year. Prior to that, Alexander revitalized the program at Cumberland University, achieving a 41–33 record and securing a Mid-South Conference championship in 2008. His coaching journey also includes impactful roles at East Tennessee State and various Tennessee high schools, where he consistently improved team performance. In 2025, Alexander joined Bowling Green State University as the assistant head coach and tight ends coach, bringing his extensive leadership and program-building expertise to the Falcons.
