Ed McCaffrey is a former NFL wide receiver who played with the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos. He was born and raised in Eastern Pennsylvania and attended Allentown Central Catholic High School, where he played football and basketball. He attended Stanford University, where he played football for the Cardinal. As a senior, he earned first-team All-America and All-Pac-10 Conference honors. He was enshrined in the Stanford’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990.

McCaffrey was selected 83rd overall by the New York Giants in the 1991 NFL Draft. In his thirteen-year career, he won three Super Bowls: Super Bowl XXIX (49ers), Super Bowl XXXII (Broncos), and Super Bowl XXXIII (Broncos). McCaffrey officially retired on February 29, 2004. He finished his career with 565 receptions for 7,422 yards and 55 touchdowns. He is regarded as one of the greatest blocking wide receivers of all time.

After retiring from the NFL, McCaffrey focused on his McCaffrey Family Foundation, which aims to assist children whose medical situation has created an academic or financial hardship. For more than twenty years, he has organized football camps for children of all skill levels attended by thousands of kids across the country. In 2012, he became the color analyst for the Denver Broncos Radio Network. He and his wife Lisa, also a Stanford athlete, have four sons, who have all gone on to play football at the collegiate level and beyond.

In addition to his prolific football career and community involvement, Ed McCaffrey also enjoys hosting speaking engagements and Q&A sessions. In these talks, McCaffrey guides audiences through his personal athletic journey and post-football endeavors. He touches on motivational topics including youth sports empowerment and coaching, cultivating a champion mindset, and the importance of family.
