Fran Hauser is passionate about leveling the playing field for women. She does this through her investing, writing, and speaking. Fran has invested in over 30 female-founded companies across consumer tech, CPG, media & publishing, and wellness. She is the best-selling author of The Myth of the Nice Girl: Achieving a Career You Love Without Becoming a Person You Hate which pioneered the notion that one does not have to choose between kindness and strength, and that the most effective leaders lead with both. The book has been translated into six languages and was named “Best Business Book of the Year, 2018” by Audible.

Fran’s new book, Embrace the Work, Love Your Career, is quickly becoming the go-to for women seeking more joy and fulfillment in their careers. Fran regularly speaks at conferences and organizations to empower women to build careers they love while staying true to themselves. She has done over 200 talks, and her clients include Meta, Uber, Mastercard, Unilever, Blackrock, Google, NPR, and The Conferences for Women. In 2022 Fran was named one of AAE's top 20 keynote speakers. Much of her current work is informed by 15 years spent in media, where she rose through the ranks at Time Inc. to President of Digital. She lives outside of NYC with her husband and two sons.

Fran was wonderful and the evening was a resounding success. Our women leaders were talking about how much they enjoyed the experience all day today. We hope there will be a future opportunity to work with Fran again!

Spectrum Enterprises’ Annual Women’s Leadership Group Meeting

I really enjoyed Fran - she was my favorite speaker! I look forward to reading her book. Female authors and those that have a story to tell, rather than educating from a place of academia, end up being the best speakers!

Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Annual Conference

Everyone left feeling connected and inspired. Multiple Slacks of "incredible," "fantastic," and "can we have this in our other offices?" The Q&A was also really strong— there are already multiple women jumping in on Slack to be each other's sounding boards when they need a motivational boost. We had almost 80 attendees, including some of our male allies. It's been nothing but glowing reviews!

Movable Ink Women’s ERG Meeting

I cannot thank you enough for sharing your time, wisdom, and enthusiasm with my students. Your talk was beyond our expectations; it will be one of those life-changing events that my students will always remember. You made their day, and my day, too.
