Jason Sobel is a golf sports writer for The Action Network and Golf Channel. Sobel has been nominated for various awards for his work, including winning the Special Projects award from the Golf Writers Association of America in 2009. Sobel is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and grew up in Islip, New York. Sobel joined ESPN in 1997 and earned four Sports Emmys. From 2004-2008, Sobel was a golf editor before becoming a columnist for ESPN.
