Jessica Groopman is the Founder of the Regenerative Technology Project. She has spent her career researching how emerging technologies impact humans, business, and environmental ecosystems. For over 18 years, she has advised innovation leaders around the world on transformational trends and how to unlock new value through digital innovation. Jessica is also a technology analyst, having published over 50 reports on various technologies and in 2024, co-authored a book about converging trends called The Future Blur. Her current research and practice focus on how emerging technologies can be designed in service to social and ecological health and support regenerative business. Jessica is a sought-after strategist, working with dozens of global brands, technology vendors, nonprofits, accelerators, investors, and think tanks across sectors to develop long-term innovation strategies that align economic, societal, and environmental benefits.
Prior, she founded and ran a research firm, Kaleido Insights, and has been a principal analyst with Tractica, Harbor Research, and Altimeter Group where she led research practices in artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, robotics, mixed reality, data privacy, and more. She later served as Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation at impact consultancy, Intentional Futures. Past clients range from large brands including Google, Microsoft, Cisco, AARP, Technicolor, Intel, and Pandora, to an array of start-ups she advises.
Jessica is a regular keynote speaker and panelist at emerging technology industry events, an author, a faculty member at Fast Future Fundamentals part of the global Nexxworks collective of futurists, a distinguished fellow at RegenIntel, and an ambassador at Capital Institute. Jessica was also included in Onalytica’s list of the 100 Most Influential Thought Leaders in the Internet of Things and Top Women in AI Ethics. She has served as a contributing member of Capgemini’s Net Positive Advisory Board, CalState CX Advisory Board, the International IoT Council, the IEEE’s IoT Group, and others. Trained in anthropology, Jessica loves helping leaders think differently about the future. When she’s not ideating about the future, she can be found hiking trails, playing drums, cooking, and spending time with her partner in the San Francisco Bay Area.
