Joe Jackson is a professional football player for the Dallas Cowboys. Drafted 2019 – 5th Round, 165th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys. Joe Jackson is a former defensive end from the University of Miami. Jackson finished the 2018 season with team-high 9.0 sacks earning him All-ACC Honorable Mention recognition. Jackson served as one of Miami’s top defensive playmakers for second straight year in 2017 leading the Canes defensive linemen with 59 tackles (35 solo). Delivering a dominant freshman season, Jackson led the team in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (8.5) totaling 32 tackles (17 solo). Coming out of Gulliver Prep, Jackson was a four-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports and was ranked #23 best defensive end by ESPN. Jackson chose Miami over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State, among others. In addition to a standout football player in high school, Jackson also competed in basketball and track at Gulliver Prep.
