Joe Johnson is a former NBA player drafted 10th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2001 NBA Draft. Over his exceptional eighteen-year career, Johnson played for seven teams, including the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, and Brooklyn Nets. For his tremendous isolation play throughout his career, Johnson earned the nickname “Iso Joe.” Johnson earned many accolades, including seven All-Star appearances, All-NBA Third Team, and All-NBA Rookie Second Team. Johnson is considered one of the great scorers of his generation, especially during his tenure with the Atlanta Hawks. Along with his NBA accomplishments, Johnson had an exceptional career at the University of Arkansas. During his two-year stint at the University of Arkansas, Johnson earned accolades such as Arkansas Mr. Basketball, SEC-All Freshman Team, and SEC Rookie of the Year. After his NBA career, Johnson signed in the BIG3 Basketball League and was the MVP in 2019. That same year, Johnson and the Triplets beat the Killer 3’s to win the BIG3 championship.
