Josh Tomlin is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, born October 19, 1984, in Tyler, Texas. Drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 19th round of the 2006 MLB Draft out of Texas Tech, he made his MLB debut in 2010 and played for Cleveland through 2018 before concluding his career with the Atlanta Braves in 2021. Known for his exceptional control, Tomlin consistently posted one of the lowest walk rates in the league, averaging just 1.1 walks per nine innings over his career. Across 12 MLB seasons, he compiled a 69–56 record with a 4.77 ERA and 736 strikeouts in 1,067 innings pitched over 286 games. He was a key contributor to Cleveland’s 2016 World Series run, delivering two clutch postseason wins and a 2.53 ERA. Off the field, Tomlin is recognized for his community involvement and lives in Tyler, Texas, with his wife Carlie and their three children.
