J.P. Arencibia is a former MLB catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, and Tampa Bay Rays. After growing up in South Florida, J.P. went onto play college baseball at the University of Tennessee before being drafted 21st overall by the Blue Jays in the 2007 MLB draft. After retiring from baseball in 2017, Arencibia has transitioned into broadcasting, working as an analyst for Miami Marlins broadcasts for Fox Sports Florida. He now serves as the bench coach for the Syracuse Mets.
