Kevin Sumlin, a three-time national Coach of the Year finalist, and the current assistant head coach at the University of Maryland. He served as the head coach for the University of Arizona from 2018-2020 before joining Maryland in 2023. Sumlin went to Arizona after serving as the head football coach at Texas A&M University from (2012-17), compiling a 51-26 record including three bowl victories. He also served as the head coach at the University of Houston for four seasons (2008-11), amassing a 35-17 record. In his 10 seasons as a head coach prior to Arizona, Sumlin compiled an 86-43 record and his teams played in bowl games in nine of those seasons.
