La'Mical Perine is an NFL running back currently playing for the New York Jets. A Mobile, AL native, Perine attended Theodore High School and was a standout player, rushing for at least 1400+ yards and 15 touchdowns in both his junior and senior year, receiving offers from notable big-time NCAA fooball programs such as the University of Florida and the University of Alabama. Perine ultimately turned down Alabama and instead chose to join the Gators. He had a great college career, especially in his final two years, where he rushed for 826 yards and 677 yards in his junior and senior years, respectively. Perine put on a show for the Gators in the 2019 Orange Bowl, rushing a career-high 138 yards, with two touchdowns in the Gators' victory over Virginia, becoming the 2019 Orange Bowl MVP. Perine was eventually drafted by the New York Jets in the 4th Round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and scored his first NFL touchdown on October 25 2020 against the Bills.
