Liam Hendriks is a Major League Baseball Pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. Liam embodies perseverance as he overcame stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and returned to the field cancer-free in May 2023. Born in Australia, Hendriks grew up playing both Australian Football and baseball, and extremely talented in both, he chose to focus on baseball when he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2011 at just 18 years old. He has since also played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, and now the Chicago White Sox. In 2019, Hendriks was named an MLB All-Star and was named All-MLB Second Team. In 2020, he was awarded All-MLB First Team and AL Reliever of the Year. He is a 3x All-Star and a 2× All-MLB First Team.
