After batting .505 and blasting 14 home runs in 97 at-bats in his senior season at Haughton (LA) High School, many scouts thought Peyton Stovall would skip college immediately begin his career in professional baseball. Instead, Stovall turned down seven-figure offers and a likely first-round draft slot in the 2021 MLB Draft to fulfill his commitment to play shortstop for the Arkansas Razorbacks and Coach Dave Van Horn.

Stovall arrives in Fayetville as the number one recruit out of Louisiana. He appeared in 52 games for the Razorbacks in 2022, In 200 at-bats, Stovall hit .295 with six home runs and 31 RBI. In the field, he recorded 413 putouts at first base. He looks to continue to make an impact as the Razorbacks vie for an SEC Championship and College World Series title.
