Rafael Devers is a professional baseball player for the Boston Red Sox franchise in the MLB. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Devers was signed in 2013 at the age of 16 by the Boston Red Sox. While young, Devers was regarded as one of the best left-handed hitters available, if not the best.

Devers first played in the minor leagues from 2014 until 2017. In the minors, Devers excelled, helping the GCL Red Sox win their second Championship. After playing at different minor league levels, Devers was brought up to the Majors in 2017, where he would become the youngest Red Sox player to hit a home run (20 years old) since 1965. Devers homered in Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Houston Astros, becoming the youngest Red Sox player to hit a home run in the playoffs.

In 2021, Devers became an All-Star for the first time, starting for the American League. He also won the Silver Slugger Award for third basemen and received votes in the AL MVP voting. Devers is still with the Red Sox.
