Ra’Shaad Samples is an American football coach currently serving as the Assistant Head Coach and Running Backs Coach at the University of Oregon, a role he began in April 2024. He spent the 2023 season at Arizona State as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, following a year as the youngest NFL position coach with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. Before that, Samples coached at SMU from 2019 to 2021, where he rose to assistant head coach and earned recognition for his recruiting and player development. His earlier coaching roles included stints at Texas, Houston, and TCU. A former wide receiver at Oklahoma State and Houston, he entered coaching after his playing career was cut short due to concussions and has quickly built a reputation as a strong recruiter and offensive coach.
