Sammy Watkins is a wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens football franchise in the NFL. From Florida, Watkins attended South Fort Myers High School, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and track and field. Sammy became the all-time leading receiver in Lee County, where he would lead an undefeated South Fort Myers team to the state semifinals. Watkins would leave high school as a five-star recruited receiver, committing to Clemson University. 

 

In college, Watkins would become one of the all-time great players in Clemson history. In his freshman season, he led the country in receiving yards per game, as well as all-purpose yards and touchdowns. A first-team All American, Watkins broke 11 Clemson records his freshman year. In his junior year,  Watkins hauled in 12 touchdowns and 1,464 yards while becoming the MVP of the 2014 Orange Bowl. He would then enter the NFL Draft, where he would be drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round.

 

With the Bills, Watkins set the rookie record for the team for receptions and receiving yards while grabbing six touchdowns. Following his time with the Bills, Watkins would be traded in 2017 to the Las Angeles Rams, where he accounted for 593 yards and eight touchdowns. He would then be traded again to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018, where he won the Super Bowl, hauling in the game winning score. In 2021, Watkins was traded to the Baltimore Ravens where he currently plays.
