Scott Barlow is a closer for the Kansas City Royals. Scott was selected in the 6th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He signed with the Royals in 2018, making his MLB debut soon after arriving in Kansas City. In 2021, Scott was the Royals’ pitcher of the year after a team-leading 16 saves, a 2.9 WAR (2nd among American League relievers) and a 2.42 ERA (top-10 in the AL). Scott underwent Tommy John surgery early in his pro career, and his rise is a testament to his resilience and relentlessness. Scott lives with his wife and his two dogs in Kansas City.
