Solomon Thomas is a defensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League. Thomas originates from Chicago, Illinois, but he spent his early years in Sydney, Australia. He then moved back to the States and attended high school at Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas. Here, Thomas was a standout football player who left high school as a four-star recruit ranked among the top recruits in his class.

He played his college ball at Stanford University, where, after redshirting his freshman year in 2014, he played in every game in 2015. That year he registered 39 tackles, 10.5 tackles-for-loss, and 3.5 sacks while earning an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection. In 2016, Thomas started every game for the Cardinal, making 62 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss and 8 sacks. His successes earned him first team All-Pac-12 honors as well as a Morris Trophy win.

Solomon then declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, where the highly touted tackle was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the third overall pick. He signed a four year, $28.14 million contract with an $18.61 signing bonus. He then became a free agent in 2021, and the Las Vegas Raiders signed him in March of the same year, where he currently plays.
