September is Hispanic Heritage Month

The first day of Hispanic Heritage Month was Thursday, September 15th! During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate “the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society” (source). In honor of this, we’d like to showcase some of the incredible Hispanic speakers on Engage. We’ve already had the privilege of booking many of these talented individuals for Hispanic Heritage Month events, and are eager to continue connecting clients with the right speakers for their Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. Below, in a randomized order, we’re excited to highlight the Top 20 Hispanic speakers available on Engage:


Michelle Poler (cover photo) is a Venezuelan social entrepreneur, author, and keynote speaker from Caracas. Her authentic storytelling and humorous rhetoric captivate audiences around the world. She has spoken at Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and more. 

Ruben Gonzalez is a four-time Olympian, professional keynote speaker, and bestselling author from Argentina. Gonzalez has spoken for over 100 Fortune 500 companies about developing mental toughness, attitude, and the principles that lead to business success in life. 

Mariana Atencio, a young bilingual journalist with Venezuelan heritage went viral in 2017 with her TED Talk “What Makes You Special?”. She was described by The Huffington Post as one of the “Top Young Voices in American Newsrooms”; made their ’40 under 40’ list, as well as AdWeek’s ‘Young Influentials’. 

Peter O. Estévez was born in Mexico City, Mexico, before immigrating to the United States at the age of ten, eventually becoming a successful entrepreneur and partner in several companies in the energy, gas, and oil sector. Estévez is also a philanthropist and is co-founder of Excelente, a movement inspired to transform the lives of the Latino community.

Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez is an inspirational TED Talk speaker, who is of Mexican heritage. Gutierrez was featured on NPR’s Latino USA and was selected as The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) Scholar of the year in 2017. Her TED Talk surrounding the immigrant experience in the US reached over a million views in a month and led to a book deal. 

Victor Antonio is a Hispanic international sales trainer and inspirational speaker from Chicago, who has been hired to speak at companies such as Orkin, Plexus, and more. Antonio was formerly President of Global Sales and Marketing for a $240 million company and uses that experience to influence others. 

Jessica Mendoza- Olympic softball gold medalist, former Stanford student-athlete, and pioneering Sunday Night Baseball broadcaster. She is a captivating speaker on leadership, building a winning team, and motivation with exceptional anecdotes from her unique career. Jessica is inspirational and high-energy and has received exceptional feedback from event planners for her ability to connect her story to the specific aims of the event.

Dan LeBatard is a television host, radio host, and podcast host. Le Batard, previously of ESPN and now the face of Meadowlark Media, hosts the acclaimed Dan Le Batard Show and wrote for the Miami Herald from 1990 to 2016.

Perez Hilton, is an American blogger, columnist, and media personality of Cuban ethnicity. Hilton is known for his columns and posts covering celebrity gossip and was named the #1 Web Celeb for 2007, 2008, and 2009 by Forbes Magazine and has recently been tapped as one of the 15 most influential Hispanics in the US by People in Espanol and named 2009 Hispanic of the Year by Hispanic Magazine. 

Jen Muñoz is an American-born Mexican professional soccer player. She plays midfield for the Mexican Women’s National Team and Liga MX Femenil’s Club América.

Chef Yisus is a two-time Emmy winner, food critic, restaurateur, and author from Caracas, Venezuela. Yisus is a former professional baseball player who found his passion in cooking and now uses his platform to educate others about the same. 

Joey Gonzalez- Joey is the CEO of Barry's, the original cardio and strength interval workout that revolutionized fitness and began the boutique movement. In 2018, Gonzalez was named to Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business list and received the CEO Award of the Year from North Castle Partners. A gay son of a Cuban refugee, Joey can speak to intersectionality from a first-person perspective and is a high energy-presenter on the stage. His mental library of stories and experiences as a successful, diverse CEO makes him a strong choice for corporate speaking engagements.

Adriana Urbina is an award-winning Latin American chef, culinary and wellness consultant, with more than 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry running and consulting for restaurants around the world. Urbina is a three-time “Chopped” champion and has worked as executive chef for many New York restaurants.

Abel Flores is a Hispanic worship leader and co-host of “The Power of Us” podcast with his wife, Rosie Rivera Flores. Flores uses his platform to inspire others in Catholicism and worship. 

Brenda Batista is an accomplished Hispanic entrepreneur, leader, management consultant, and the President of Inspiring Company Culture. Batista specializes in creating and advising the creation of company cultures that inspire employees to embrace their inner leaders.

Nina Garcia is a Colombian fashion journalist, the editor-in-chief of Elle, and a judge on the Bravo/Lifetime reality television program Project Runway since its first season. In 2010, García received an Oracle Award from Fashion Group International and the Individual Achievement award from the Hispanic Federation. In 2015, García received the Champion of Educational Excellence Award from the Oliver Scholars Program.

Mauricio Pedroza is a Hispanic sports reporter and journalist who regularly serves as commentator and host for a variety of shows including Redes and Cronómetro. Pedroza has become one of the most recognized young faces on the Spanish-language network.

Rosie Rivera - Rosie Rivera has appeared on reality TV shows like I Love Jenni and The Riveras and co-hosted top Spanish morning shows such as Despierta America and Un Nuevo Dia. Rosie built a successful career as an actress while navigating significant trauma, including the death of her sister, the late singer-songwriter and actress Jenni Rivera, and sexual abuse that she endured as a young child. Rosie speaks openly against sexual assault and domestic violence any place there is a person in need.

Alex Rodriguez, a business content creator, and TEDx Speaker has accumulated over 150 million views in under four years due to his videos inspiring individuals to become leaders and find their passions. Rodriguez has been featured in Forbes and gave his first TEDx talk at 22 years old. 

Jose Hernandez is an American engineer and former NASA astronaut, and proudly claims his family’s roots from La Piedad, Mexico. Hernandez has earned the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute National Hispanic Hero Award in 2016, and multiple NASA Service Awards
