From the very beginning of her impressive career journey, Monica displayed an unwavering sense of determination and work ethic, a sharp focus on building her expertise in Finance, and a passion to make her mark on the fashion and beauty industries. With her range of experiences leading iconic, global brands such as Tourneau, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dolce & Gabbana, she adds heightened value in the functional areas of finance, operations, treasury, real estate, legal, risk management, business strategy, merchandising, supply chain, human resources, IT, and Investor Relations.

Prior to FLG, Monica led Tourneau with a discerning eye and fresh perspective by eliminating unnecessary expenses, providing heightened accuracy in month-end reporting, securing advanced technology solutions for touchless sales auditing, improving cash flow, utilizing a simplistic Board reporting process, and negotiating a multi-million dollar consumer credit facility during her time as CFO.

Predating these accomplishments she has also successfully launched an e-commerce business and built out an Accounting department (MCM Worldwide), reversed a two-decade-long profitability decline by identifying profit leaks and putting practices in place ultimately creating a model that was both intuitive and proactive to ensure immediate mitigation for future losses that led to accelerated growth resulting in an equity transaction (Versace).

Earlier in her career, Monica held roles with Yves Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana and spent several years in media and entertainment at both Havas/Media Planning Group and Arista Records.

Monica graduated with honors from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and began her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, during which time she obtained her New York State CPA license.

At her core, she advocates against the systemic sexism and racism intersecting between the corporate and social spheres. Monica currently resides on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion board of The CFO Leadership Council where she is able to amplify her passion for mission-oriented work while also holding membership with the CHIEF and WIE Networks.
